Overview:
The Agape program is a community-based initiative that provides case management, support, and advocacy to individuals living with HIV. We are seeking a certified peer recovery specialist to join our team as a Peer Recovery Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with clients as a peer, providing support and guidance in their recovery journey.
- Facilitate activities and groups for clients to participate in, promoting a sense of community and social connection.
- Support staff members wherever possible, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Demonstrate a self-starter approach, working independently and as part of a team to achieve program goals.
Requirements:
- Lived experience and multilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathy and compassion.
- A commitment to promoting health, well-being, and self-reliance among individuals and communities.
