Job Summary:

This role has been designated by the Company as Safety Sensitive.

  • Responsible for commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for documenting point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation, and job close-out requirements.
  • Represents the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.
  • Coordinates with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on-site work.
  • Keeps current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
  • Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.
  • Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning, programming, and testing of DDC controls systems.
  • Documentation of point-to-point verification and sequence of operations validation.
  • Customer-facing role, responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
  • Coordination with team leader and customer to ensure on-site installation and repairs meet requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date on Trane products and services.
  • Ensuring safety and security standards are met.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weeks as business requires.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., smartphone, iPad).
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months.
  • Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred.
Additional Requirements:
  • Safe and legal operation of a vehicle using a seatbelt.
  • Wearing helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness, and safety boots.
  • Twisting trunk of body 90 degrees in each direction.
  • Squatting and touching floor with both hands.
  • Reaching hands over head.
  • Standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Lifting and moving up to 10 lbs. and frequently lifting and/or moving up to 40 lbs.
  • Safely using a ladder with a 375 lb. total weight limit.
  • Maneuvering access areas, as small as 30" vertical x 45" horizontal.
  • Comfortably and routinely accessing rooftops with extension and/or fixed ladders at heights of 15' to 20', and occasionally, up to 50 feet +.
Compensation:

Base Pay Range: 25-28hr

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
