Aircraft Engine Quality Assurance Specialist

Join StandardAero, a leading MRO services provider, as an Aircraft Engine Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained in our production processes. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring processes, developing improvements, and collaborating with functional departments to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review factors affecting product quality and reliability during production.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company instructions and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures affecting the production process.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Research and review company procedures.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends and non-conformance documents.
  • Report necessary information and offer solutions to production, materials, and the company to correct specification or process problems.
  • Monitor warranty procedures, including investigation, root-cause, corrective action, and follow-up.
  • Verify completion of work instructions and correct configuration and identification of end products.
  • Carry out special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of company instructions, processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
  • Knowledgeable in assembly methods and techniques used.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
  • Knowledgeable in quality requirements relating to the production process.
  • Thorough knowledge of Foreign Certification requirements and other regulatory bodies.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of AS9110, SABER.
  • Thorough knowledge of Cost of Poor Quality.
  • Thorough knowledge of Corrective Action Request.
  • Thorough knowledge of internal audit policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • College diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.
  • Experience as an inspector in an aerospace environment.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
