JOB SUMMARY

Verify the accuracy of financial records and transactions by analyzing accounting data and performing various analyses.

Compile and review reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain knowledge of hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Familiarize yourself with the property management system and manual procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure correct maintenance and use of equipment to prevent damage and ensure safety.
  • Set up and organize work station with necessary supplies and materials to maintain productivity.
Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisor.

  • Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel services and facilities to guests.


  • Familiarize yourself with hotel packages, promotions, prices, and rates to provide excellent guest service.
  • Possess a working knowledge of PMS, POS, call accounting, and movie systems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Correct errors or discrepancies in financial records.
  • Compute percentages and totals to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect financial records to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.


  • Analyze data to identify deficiencies in controls or lack of compliance with management policies.


  • Reconcile and complete daily front desk and Food and Beverage cashier work.
  • Run final trial balance to post rooms and close day.
  • Run accounts receivable reports and other reports as designated by the Controller.
  • Provide next day reports for Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and Accounting Offices as required.
  • Transmit credit card vouchers electronically to authorized vendors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors, vendors, and hotel staff.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Ability to compute mathematical calculations.
  • College degree, Accounting major preferred.
  • Certification of previous training in computers.
  • Experience with computers, calculators, or word processors.
  • Ability to input and access information into the property management and sales systems.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
