Job Title: Principal Mission Architect Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mission Architect Engineer to join our team in Dulles, VA. As a key member of our space systems sector, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge space systems and ground programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system-level architectures for space and ground programs
  • Lead the development of mission models and simulations to support system design and testing
  • Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to integrate and test space and ground systems
  • Develop and maintain system-level requirements and verification plans
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 5 years of relevant experience, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or 0 years with a PhD
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with requirements management, system architecture development, and CONOPs
  • Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current or active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with space or ground system development programs
  • Experience presenting to customers
  • Experience working with cross-discipline teams
  • Experience in M1 mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation

We offer a competitive salary range of $107,300 - $160,900, as well as a range of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
