Job Title: Salesperson

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team at Kalmbach Feeds Inc. As a salesperson, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our valued customers, promoting our top-quality nutritional products and services, and driving sales growth in our key markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Evaluate product and service marketability and make recommendations for improvement
  • Follow up on sales leads and make cold calls to identify new business opportunities
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts to stay informed about market developments and identify potential sales leads
  • Remain up-to-date on competitor information to maximize sales
  • Establish long-term, ongoing relationships with customers
  • Balance rations and provide feeding directions for various species
  • Close deals and finalize contracts
  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals

Requirements:

  • Preferably holds a bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field
  • Must have three to five years of feed sales experience
  • Proven track record of growing and maintaining a customer base
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Well-developed presentation skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Open to travel up to 30%
