Key Responsibilities:
The Clinic Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in assisting with direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of direct patient care, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Assisting with basic daily living activities such as bathing and feeding, as well as monitoring vital signs.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in all necessary clinical skills and technologies in line with Inova Health System protocols.
  • Completing assigned patient care tasks within the designated time frame.
  • Demonstrating understanding of patient growth and development to provide appropriate care.
  • Accurately documenting patient information and reinforcing discharge instructions.
  • Communicating any changes in patient condition to the supervising Registered Nurse promptly.
  • Collaborating with the Registered Nurse to develop a professional growth plan to enhance patient care skills.
  • Performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Shift Details:
This position involves a 12-hour day shift, scheduled for two days a week. The ideal candidate must be available for a comprehensive 6-week training program upon hire.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
