Position Overview:

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our classified computing environments. This position is dedicated to ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and standards, necessitating a hands-on approach to execution and oversight. You will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enforcing standard operating procedures derived from government compliance frameworks, while adeptly managing complex requests and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee information system compliance at the system level, including technical configuration analysis, change control facilitation, and incident response.
  • Maintain and update the System Security Plan in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure all personnel possess the necessary security clearances and provide security training and guidance.
  • Collect, review, and document security event logs, reporting any anomalies while monitoring user activity and system performance.
  • Manage the tracking and safeguarding of material assets associated with secure systems.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of system functions, security policies, and operational security measures.
  • Provide recommendations for solutions based on a thorough understanding of implications related to work.

Required Qualifications:
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • A University Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one within a year.
  • DoD 8570-compliant industry certification at IAM Level I (Security+) or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Security+, A+, Network+, CAP, CASP+, Cisco (CCNA), CISSP.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-series RMF framework and guidelines.
  • Experience with STIGs, SCAP, Splunk, or other compliance and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Self-directed with a strong ability to deliver results.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Composure under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
