Patient Care Technician

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with hemodialysis treatment, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
- Perform vascular access evaluation and cannulation, as well as administer heparin as delegated.
- Initiate and terminate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and facility policies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; certification in patient care or a related field preferred.
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment, as well as stand for prolonged periods.
