Job Summary:

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Nail Technician to join our team. As a Nail Technician, you will provide exceptional patient care and deliver high-quality nail services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nail services to patients in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring a safe and effective treatment experience.
  • Administer nail treatments based on established standards and procedures, adhering to national, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assess patients as necessary and discuss any contraindications or time restrictions to ensure optimal care.
  • Maintain aseptic technique in providing nail treatments, cleaning work surfaces between each client and at the end of the workday.
  • Manage supply inventory, assist in procuring and stocking supplies, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide rooming for patients and document care accurately and efficiently.

Licensure and Certification:

  • Manicurist license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency and completion of an accredited or approved program in Manicuring.
  • No experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to body fluids and pathogens, requiring adherence to strict infection control protocols.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
