Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is a leading non-profit social service agency in New Jersey, serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Assistant to join our Pathways to Housing Program in Newark, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, adhering to proper risk management and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding of cleaning agents, their application, and usage directions.
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards, including standard precautions, glove use, hand washing, and hazard communication.
  • Report safety concerns and job-related issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain a clean environment in a timely manner, following established routines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • OR 3 years of experience working with the homeless population in lieu of a HS diploma or GED.
