Position Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and proactive part-time Security Patrol Officer to maintain the safety and security of our facility. The Security Patrol Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of the premises while addressing any individuals—guests, clients, visitors, contractors, and employees—who may not adhere to the established safety and security protocols.

Work Schedule:

This role requires availability for part-time shifts:

  • Morning: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Evening: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
  • Overnight: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Successful candidates typically commit to the overnight shift and are available throughout the week, including weekends and holidays. Alternative availability can be discussed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of the facility at all times.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, ensuring secure access to all areas.
  • Welcome and guide guests and visitors to their designated locations.
  • Conduct thorough screenings at checkpoints using metal detectors and ID inspections.
  • Ensure prohibited items are not allowed inside the facility.
  • Provide security escorts as necessary.
  • Facilitate smooth access routes throughout the premises.
  • Address complaints from guests, clients, and employees in accordance with established policies.
  • Respond to incidents of undesirable behavior professionally.
  • Support emergency personnel during public safety situations.
  • Secure property belonging to the facility and its clients.
  • Assist in the orderly evacuation of the building when required.
  • Conduct perimeter checks outside the facility.
  • Utilize a golf cart for patrols and escorts as needed.
  • Monitor security camera feeds and report suspicious activities.
  • Manage remote door access and fire control systems.
  • Coordinate loading dock traffic.
  • Log lost and found items accurately and handle inquiries.
  • Assist with additional security needs during events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License is necessary.
  • Minimum of six months of recent security experience preferred.
  • TX DPS issued Level Two Security License is advantageous.
  • Unlicensed applicants must apply for a TX DPS license within 14 days of hire.
  • All applicants must undergo fingerprinting and a criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Adhere to all safety and building protocols.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts within the 24-hour day.
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Capability to climb stairs and perform various physical tasks.
  • Extensive mobility to navigate the facility effectively.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
