Job Title: Senior Manager, Quality Control Microbiology

Matica Biotechnology, Inc. is a leading biopharmaceutical research and development company that is at the forefront of innovation. We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager, Quality Control Microbiology to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Quality Control Microbiology will be responsible for the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the Quality Control Microbiology function. This role will require a proven track record of demonstrating expert knowledge of Quality Control System development and/or operation in accordance with applicable guidance (USP, FDA, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and manage environmental monitoring programs, testing, raw material programs, and creation of SOPs and policies.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments, including supervising and managing performance, and development of reporting staff.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control Microbiology programs and procedures to ensure compliance with GMP standards, corporate policies, FDA, and other regulatory body regulations and guidelines.
  • Participate in method qualification and validation, transfer, and testing.
  • Author and edit company documents, including policies and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex method development challenges.
  • Communicate regularly with internal Matica departments and clients.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in sciences, preferably in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related technical field.
  • 8+ years related GMP/GLP experience in biotechnology, chemistry, biochemistry, Microbiology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • 4+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Quality Control Microbiology testing, including but not limited to Endotoxin, Bioburden, Sterility, Mycoplasma, etc.
  • Strong leadership, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret cGMPs and apply to non-routine situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly articulate issues with peers and colleagues at all levels in the organization.
