Job Title: Collision Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Collision Estimator to join our team at Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Collision Center in Hoover, Alabama.

Job Summary:

The Collision Estimator will be responsible for identifying and documenting necessary body repair work for customers, scheduling body work to be performed, and working with customers and Collision Center Technicians to identify required repair work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule appointments with customers and ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Work with customers and Collision Center Technicians to identify required repair work and provide estimates
  • Offer additional services and repairs to customers
  • Compute cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition specified by customer
  • Enter itemized estimate on repair order and explain estimate to customer
  • Maintain CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area
  • Participate in required training
  • Record all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follow Safeguards rules and regulations
  • Demonstrate the Company's Core Values
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of body repair methods
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive selling skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, company personnel, and insurance adjusters
Work Environment:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Duties are generally performed in the Collision Center area. Work includes inspection of customer vehicles and frequent movement around the body repair shop to convey information between customers and Collision Center Technicians.
