Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled First Assist RN to join our team of traveling healthcare professionals. As a First Assist RN, you will work closely with surgeons to provide exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in general and specialized surgeries
  • Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Provide patient care and support, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
  • Practice surgical procedures, such as controlling bleeding and suturing incisions
  • Prepare all necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Position and prepare patients on the operating table, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and heart rate during surgical procedures
  • Educate patients and families on operation and aftercare
  • Perform post-operative assessments and monitoring
  • Perform CPR or emergency measures if required
Requirements
  • Motivated candidates with a strong passion for patient care and surgical assistance
  • AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
  • BSN from accredited nursing program, and proper licensure
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • Certification as a First Assist RN, certification in perioperative nursing
  • Operating room experience required
