Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Parham Doctors' Hospital. As a key member of our Peri-operative Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Operating Room surgical case carts, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of re-processable supplies, equipment, and surgical instruments in compliance with good hospital practice standards.
  • Properly operate cleaning and sterilization equipment, such as cart washers, sonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers, and heat-sealing units.
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge and understanding of all chemicals, detergents, and other cleaning and/or disinfecting agents used in the department.
  • Transport clean and soiled case carts between the operating rooms and Sterile Processing, as well as additional instrumentation as needed between Peri-operative Services and CSP areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness and appropriate supply levels at workstations in all areas of the department.
Requirements
  • Sterile Processing Certification required (CRCST or CSPDT) within 18 months of employment.
  • Must have knowledge of hospital equipment, supplies, surgical instrumentation, and medical terminology.
  • Must be able to appropriately and effectively react to requests for emergency supplies.
  • BLS current or within 60 days of hire.
  • One year Central Sterile Processing experience is preferred.
