Job Title: Service Technician

Trillium Staffing is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Saginaw. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $24-$27/hr.

This position involves extensive travel, typically between Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend or overnight stays. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of employer products to resolve customer issues over the phone or on-site.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, engineering, project managers, and sales members, to address issues.
  • Correct issues on-site and ensure corrective actions are in place to prevent future problems.
  • Be proficient in using laptops or tablets for communication, meetings, and documentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports after each site visit, outlining issues and solutions.
  • Manage and report monthly expenses and timecards for job costing.
  • Be comfortable traveling by plane or company-provided vehicle.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma; Journeyman card preferred.
  • Experience in wastewater plant operation or similar knowledge.
  • At least 3 years of experience in service, machine building/assembly, with a track record of fine craftsmanship.
  • Proficiency in hand tools, welders, drill presses, and other shop tools, as well as experience operating a forklift.
  • Excellent customer service and reliability traits.
  • Proficiency in general MS Office applications and ability to generate reports.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and structural blueprints.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel to customers' sites.
  • Knowledge of relay-based and PLC control packages (preferred).
  • Strong presentation skills (preferred).
  • Comfortable traveling in various weather conditions and urban/rural areas.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to complete projects on time.
  • Ability to train others in employer's products.
  • Adhere to high standards for quality and employ a keen eye for detail.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
