Position Overview:

The Global Procurement team plays a crucial role in Micron's expansion, providing top-tier total cost management and supply chain resilience through innovative predictive capabilities, risk assessments, and a commitment to sustainability and diversity. As a Senior Procurement Cost Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include the creation and evaluation of should-cost models, as well as the collection and analysis of cost data related to Tool Installation and cleanroom-specific MEP works, with a focus on CSA and overall construction aspects. You will also be expected to adapt to cost analysis for various other domains, including equipment, spare parts, and facility expense projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will benchmark costs across different sites and regions, developing should-cost models that encompass labor and materials. Your role will also involve establishing systems to enhance cost data collection and analysis, streamlining the decision-making process. Building relationships across all company sectors will be essential for effective data collection, system development, and benchmarking. Your analytical insights will support Global and Site teams in their decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct category cost analysis, particularly in construction, including equipment, spare parts, facilities expenses, and tool installation projects.
  • Perform price and should-cost analysis to support category strategy and business negotiations.
  • Identify and analyze available reporting data to ensure alignment with business processes and data quality.
  • Conduct quality assessments of data and reports, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Explore opportunities to connect data analysis with business challenges.
  • Generate concise dashboards that present operational data clearly for various stakeholders, including partners and management.
  • Collaborate closely with Category Managers and Program Managers on global and regional process improvements.
  • Identify industry benchmarks and conduct market analyses to inform business partners and leadership.
  • Utilize information systems tools to enhance processes and address challenges.
  • Maintain structured management of central repository systems and track pricing/costs across various categories.
  • Facilitate meetings with Program and Category Managers to provide updates on strategic initiatives.
  • Schedule regular reviews of data and reports with category teams to gather feedback and identify future needs.
  • Present project and category data to team members, driving discussions and action items.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cost management, quantity surveying, tool installation, pricing, or business analytics, particularly in Cleanroom/Hospital/Pharmaceutical MEP Process Utilities Systems and CSA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and digital literacy, including data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and benchmarking methodologies.
  • Experience in applying should-cost methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical) is preferred.
