**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrap Metal Trader to support our daily trading activities and contribute to the overall performance of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the aluminum market and be able to maintain and expand existing supply bases, as well as identify new business opportunities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Purchasing and Selling**: Responsible for the purchasing and selling of non-ferrous scrap metals and RSI, ensuring optimal pricing and supply chain management.
  • **Supplier Management**: Visit and maintain current and potential suppliers to generate new sources of material, building strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms.
  • **Business Development**: Assist in developing strategic plans for new business to generate new sources of raw material, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • **Logistics and Transportation**: Collaborate with local operations, freight partners, and head office to coordinate and manage transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  • **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of all commercial activities, including closed sales and follow-up activities, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • **Market Analysis**: Develop knowledge of aluminum markets and the various tools necessary to compete, including terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, and more.
  • **Industry Participation**: Participate in industry associations and stay up-to-date with market trends and developments.

**Requirements**

  • **Strong Communication Skills**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
