Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Correctional Facility

The Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Correctional Facility is a critical role within the California Correctional Health Care Services organization. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced laboratory professional to oversee the technical aspects of patient testing and provide technical direction to lower-level staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform or oversee the most difficult technical pre-analytical and post-analytical patient testing for clinical treatment, medical diagnosis, health assessment, or disease prevention.
- Provide technical direction to lower-level laboratory staff, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in testing and reporting.
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and prepare administrative reports, statements, budget requests, and other documents required by administrative and medical staff.
- Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, protecting and maintaining the safety of persons and property.
- Possession of a valid California State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or a license of equal or higher level issued by the State Department of Health Services.
- One year of experience in comprehensive laboratory work involving making laboratory analyses.
Travel is required for this position.
