Production Assembler

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Interprets technical documents to ascertain the sequence and techniques for fabricating and assembling products.

Utilizes various hand tools such as wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, and hammers to secure components together. Attaches bolts, screws, and clips to construct products.

Installs sub-assemblies into a supportive structure according to schematics. Evaluates sub-assemblies and final products for adherence to specifications. Modifies sub-assemblies and final products as required.

Transfers completed assemblies or products to subsequent work areas. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not include supervisory duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, along with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety guidelines, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

MATH SKILLS

Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using standard units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Proficiency in reading and utilizing a tape measure.

PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Capacity to address issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to follow management and supervisory directives.

Consistent attendance is a crucial job requirement, defined as having reliable, punctual, and predictable attendance, including the ability to work regular hours, overtime, and weekends as necessary.
