Senior Staff Engineer for RFIC Development

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Engineer to lead our team in developing cutting-edge RFIC products. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for driving the design activity for 5G & 6G RF LNA/switch/coupler/PA/tunable filter products in cellular handset applications.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in RF/analog IC product development, with expertise in CMOS IC design for commercial applications, including SOI and/or bulk processes. Additionally, they should have experience with RF IC design, EM simulation, non-linear effects in transistors, and IC fabrication impact on circuit performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Definition: Assist Marketing in defining new products through feasibility studies and technical competitive analyses
  • Product Design and Evaluation: Schematic Capture, IC layout, Simulation, Package Analysis, Evaluation Board Design, Design Validation, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Product Documentation: Document all relevant product and design information to educate others on novel design techniques and provide guidance on product usage
  • Product Characterization: Work with Characterization and Test Engineers to define, conduct and analyze data from product performance characterization
  • Production ATE Development: Work with Test Engineers to define, develop and ramp production ATE solutions
  • Product Support: Work with Applications, Product, Test and Manufacturing Engineers to help answer customer questions, assess field failures, support yield improvements, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent degree); MSEE or PhD preferred
  • Typically requires 8 to 12 years of RF/analog IC product development experience, depending on education level and qualifications
