Job Overview

As a key member of the Staples Supply Chain Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse facilities. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing material handling equipment to pick and move products, and collaborating with colleagues to resolve issues and meet productivity thresholds.

Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, to pick and move products within the warehouse.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, both inside and outside the facility, to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages, and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues.
  • Unload trucks and palletize products, and operate material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse.
  • Match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, check in returned product, and tag it appropriately.
  • Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets, and load trucks manually, lifting, lowering, and carrying product in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment, or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.
  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.
  • Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers, is helpful.
