About the Role

We are seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian/Janitor at Diversified Maintenance. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Clean Floor Surfaces: Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum all floor surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow Chemical Cleaning Procedures: Use chemical cleaners and power equipment in accordance with established procedures to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
  • Clean and Maintain Restrooms and Common Areas: Clean, monitor, and maintain restrooms, fitting rooms, corridors, and store entrance areas to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Empty Trash Cans and Replenish Supplies: Empty trash cans for proper disposal and replenish paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
  • Clean Windows and Glass Surfaces: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
  • Assist with Carpet Cleaning and Maintenance: Spot clean carpets, assist in carpet extractions, and shampooing as needed.
  • Follow Housekeeping Schedule: Adhere to established housekeeping schedules to ensure a clean and organized environment.
  • Operate Heavy Cleaning Equipment: Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers, as needed.
Requirements
  • Age and Authorization: Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliability and Trustworthiness: Demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness in your work and interactions with colleagues and customers.
  • Previous Cleaning Experience: Possess some prior cleaning experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.
Work Details
  • Part-Time Position: Work a part-time schedule, approximately 5 hours per day, Sunday to Saturday.
  • Hourly Rate: Earn $13.00 per hour.
