Android Software Engineer for Stripe Terminal

As an Android Engineer on our Terminal team, you'll play a crucial role in building and enhancing applications, SDKs, and services that run on or communicate with physical Terminal devices. Your expertise will help us make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as it is for online payments.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain Android apps and SDKs in Kotlin.
  • Enable payment applications for various devices and form factors.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the company to bring new features and products to Stripe's Terminal users.
  • Work with user research and product design to understand users and address their needs.
Requirements
  • 1.5+ years of experience in Android Development.
  • Experience working with either Kotlin or Java.
  • Ability or willingness to work in-office 50% of the week at one of our offices: San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, New York, or Toronto.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience in Android Development.
  • Payments expertise or knowledge.
  • Custom hardware experience on the Android platform.
