Aquatic Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Aquatic Supervisor will provide supervision and support of the staff and patrons in the facility with an emphasis on maintaining and enforcing rules and regulations to provide a safe aquatic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support lifeguards and instructors to ensure a safe and effective aquatic environment.
• Act as facility supervisor in the absence of the Aquatics Program Director.
• Enforce rules and regulations to maintain a safe aquatic environment.
• Provide mentorship and training to lifeguards and instructors.
• Document and report incidents and issues to the Aquatics Program Director.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Address issues and concerns that occur while on duty.

Requirements:

• Current certification in Lifeguarding from a nationally recognized association.
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized association.
• Current certification in ARC Water Safety Instructor.
• Lifeguard Training Instructor certification.
• Supervisory skills.
• Ability to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Good communication skills.

Working Conditions:

The Aquatic Supervisor will work in a fast-paced aquatic environment with occasional bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking, squatting, reaching, and stair climbing.
