We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Recovery unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-operative and recovery care to patients following surgical procedures, monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition, and administering medications and pain management treatments as prescribed. They will also collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery plans.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or the ability to obtain one, a BSN degree preferred, though ASN with relevant experience considered, and a minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience with a focus on recovery or post-operative care preferred. You will also need to have BLS, ACLS certifications, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide post-operative and recovery care to patients following surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, ensuring a safe and smooth recovery process.
  • Administer medications and pain management treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery plans.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Adhere to established protocols, policies, and safety standards in the recovery unit.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or the ability to obtain one.
  • BSN degree preferred, though ASN with relevant experience considered.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience with a focus on recovery or post-operative care preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple patients and tasks.
