We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Home Health team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
- Provide non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions to patients, promoting optimal recovery and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, submitting clinical paperwork in a timely manner to support seamless care coordination.
- Participate in educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services, staying up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.
- Notify Physical Therapists or Executive Directors of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff changes, or other departmental concerns, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Schedule clients and perform various office tasks, ensuring efficient and effective administrative support.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions principles in patient care activities, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence, promoting patient-centered care and team collaboration.
- Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors, educating and coaching patients and families as needed.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric population changes, including physical, emotional, social, and biological aspects.
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, and open to constructive feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional image and attitude, with ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Maintains current licensure certifications and meets mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Good and regular attendance is essential.
