As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care, monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, and educating patients on kidney dialysis-related topics. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation
- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines, as well as perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in healthcare or dialysis preferred, but not required
