Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Education and Licensure:
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy. Foreign graduates may also apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
2. Licensure and Certification:
You must hold a current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. Additionally, you must be eligible for board certification.
3. Experience and Training:
Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship is required. You must also have completed a training program in psychiatry.
4. Age and Citizenship:
You must be between 21 and 42 years of age and a U.S. citizen.
5. Additional Requirements:
In addition to the above qualifications, citizenship or permanent U.S. residency is required for Army Reserve officers.
