MBSE Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled MBSE Systems Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. As a key member of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to establish architecture content and develop solutions that achieve customer intent.
  • Develop and evaluate GPS receiver architectures and requirements.
  • Define key capabilities and performance requirements for GPS receivers.
  • Decompose functionality and define interfaces in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.
  • Communicate status, issues, and results with program management and customers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 14 years of related professional/military experience in MBSE or Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in Cameo, Rhapsody, Simulink, SCADE, or other MBSE modeling applications.
  • US Citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance.
  • Ability to work on site a minimum of 4 days a week.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to requirements specification and interface control documents (ICD) for GPS-153/RS-232, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Power Management, Buffer/Memory Management, Precision timing interface.
  • Familiarity with signals of opportunity and alternate navigation signals.
  • Familiarity with open system architectures (e.g., ASPN, CMOSS, PNTOS, JADC2).
  • Familiarity with anti-jam GPS processing techniques and analysis (e.g., nulling, STAP, SFAP, SFAP-T, differential GPS).
