Nurse Specialist II

Job Overview:
Dallas County is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.
About the Role:
This position involves performing physical assessments, initiating treatments and immunizations as per approved protocols. You will provide education and counseling to patients and other professionals, obtain medical histories, and administer appropriate treatment and/or immunizations. Conducting comprehensive educational counseling for patients and other professionals is also a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical assessments, initiate treatments and/or immunizations per approved protocol
- Provide education and counseling to patients and other professionals
- Obtain medical histories, perform physical assessments, and investigations
- Administer appropriate treatment and/or immunization, and obtain laboratory specimens
- Conduct comprehensive educational counseling to patients and other professionals
- Function as a preceptor for patients and other agencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, equivalent to an Associate's degree
- One (1) year of work-related experience as a Registered Nurse
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
- Knowledgeable of standard software applications
- Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relations with employees, departments, and the general public
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License, with a good driving record
- Able to withstand prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., unassisted
- Able to travel to various work-site locations
Salary Range:
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
