Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at The Center for Orthopedic Research and Education. As a key member of our physical therapy department, you will work closely with physicians, staff, and other departments to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Establish strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, document progress, and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to contribute to the development and implementation of patient-centered care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, adhering to state practice acts and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or related field required; Associate's degree accepted with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in physical therapy, with consideration given to new graduates.
  • Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state where practicing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, preferably in orthopedics.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management software.
