Aircraft Mechanic I Job Description

At Yulista, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic I to join our team. As an Aircraft Mechanic I, you will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft structures, structural components, and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair aircraft structures, structural components, and aircraft systems
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and apply technical knowledge to determine equipment malfunctions
  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering data
  • Perform periodic, special, and calendar inspections
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools
  • Proficient with using USAF Technical Orders, DTADS, and IMDS
Requirements:
  • Eight (8) years of experience on C-130 aircraft as a 2ASX1
  • Performed as 7-Level Aircraft Mechanic or equivalent
  • Advanced Systems School Basic C-130J aircraft system knowledge
  • Ability and desire to perform on aircraft engine runs (if required)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Calista shareholders and their descendants
  • Shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act
