About the Role

As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing personal care assistance to elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents. You will also assist clients with medication, ambulation, and mobility around the house or outside.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation.
  • Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.).
  • Plan and prepare meals.
  • Assist with physical therapy exercises.
  • Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from the State of Maine as a qualified certified nursing assistant.
  • Registration with the State of Maine CNA Registry.
  • Ability to function independently and autonomously.
  • Knowledge and ability to carry out agency policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and carry out essential job functions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.

Estimated Salary Range:

$42,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on experience.
