Store Offerings:
Our locations feature a wide range of products, from textbooks and trade books to technology, school supplies, apparel, and food—catering to the needs of college students, their families, and faculty members. Seasonal associates may work across different departments and are typically scheduled to assist during peak periods or special events, such as semester openings and closings, athletic events, book signings, and graduation ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers, respond to inquiries, and assist with merchandise or service purchases.
- Organize, shelve, and maintain an appealing sales floor to enhance the shopping experience.
- Process sales transactions using cash, credit, or financial aid options.
- Be available to work during peak periods, including semester transitions and occasional weekends, with flexibility in scheduling throughout the academic year.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent movement within the store to access various departments and products is necessary. Candidates should be able to remain stationary for extended periods and perform frequent lifting, as well as occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. A high-energy, friendly demeanor, along with strong communication skills, is essential for interacting with a diverse clientele. Exceptional customer service abilities are required to effectively match customers with suitable products. Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills are also necessary. Flexibility in scheduling is important.
