We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager/In-Charge Technologist and Medical Director, the successful candidate will perform a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and attention during clinical procedures.
  • Verify patient identification and review orders for procedures to be performed.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Obtain pertinent patient history and check for procedural contradictions.
  • Maintain and operate auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and administer radionuclides/medications as directed.
  • Prepare instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals.
  • Implement ALARA measures in performance of clinical duties.
  • Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required.
  • Process and evaluate computer-generated data.
  • Obtain samples for non-imaging studies.
  • Prepare and administer interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
  • Maintain sterile technique as required.
  • Perform imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.
Requirements
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school
  • 1 year nuclear medicine experience

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
  • ARRT (CT)
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
  • SCRQSA License

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • ARRT in Radiology preferred
  • Experience on Philips equipment preferred
  • Spect/CT experience required
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Proficient computer skills (database)
  • Data entry
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong background in physics/chemistry
  • Radiation Safety equipment
