Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Siemens Healthineers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and care for patients during clinical procedures
  • Verify patient identification and review orders for procedures to be performed
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations
  • Obtain patient history and check for procedural contradictions
  • Maintain and operate auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families
  • Prepare patients for procedures
  • Select and administer radionuclides/medications by the proper route and dosage
  • Prepare instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as indicated by departmental procedure manuals
  • Understand and implement ALARA measures in clinical duties
  • Evaluate image appearance and perform additional views as required
  • Process and evaluate computer-generated data
  • Obtain samples for non-imaging studies
  • Prepare and administer interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol
  • Maintain sterile technique as required
  • Perform imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols
Requirements
  • Certification Program - Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school
  • 1 year nuclear medicine experience
  • Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
  • ARRT (CT)
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
  • SCRQSA License
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • ARRT in Radiology preferred
  • Experience on Philips equipment preferred
  • Spect/CT experience required
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Proficient computer skills (database)
  • Data entry
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong background in physics/chemistry
  • Radiation Safety equipment
