Salary: $14-$18 per hour

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with fluency in both Spanish and English. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Experience working with diverse families and knowledge of issues within these dynamics are also beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support afterschool teachers and volunteers with on-site programming needs for elementary students
  • Assist staff and volunteers with communication to and from parents in both languages
  • Help parents navigate school systems and community resources
  • Effectively respond to inquiries, questions, and comments from parents, volunteers, and staff
  • Familiarize themselves with each child's family and school situation, assisting in areas of need
  • Prepare and distribute program documentation and details
  • Maintain lists and records for documenting information
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and committees for conveying and gathering information
Requirements:
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Multi-tasking and meeting multiple deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Solution-oriented problem-solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

This role requires flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
