We are seeking a Precision Strike Modeling Expert to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying advanced mathematical models to simulate the performance of precision strike systems. Your expertise in aerospace engineering and mathematics will enable you to characterize and evaluate the performance of complex missile systems against various threats.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering and mathematics, with experience working with sophisticated modeling and simulation tools. You will use engagement-level models and simulations to assess the effectiveness and optimal employment of both legacy and innovative U.S. strike missiles in 1-v-1 or 1-v-few scenarios. Additionally, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to use, develop and improve missile modeling capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or another engineering field
  • Experience working with sophisticated modeling and simulation tools, such as ESAMS, SHAZAM and/or TMAP/TBA
  • Programming skills with languages such as Simulink or Fortran

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
