We are seeking a highly skilled Missile System Performance Analyst to join our team at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our dynamic and collaborative team, you will be responsible for characterizing and evaluating tactical missile system performance against complex and emergent threats. Our team conducts high-fidelity physics-based modeling while collaborating with authorities in other fields including: GN&C, RF / IR Engineering, Electronic Warfare, Software Development, Systems Engineering and more.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace engineering and experience analyzing driving factors behind missile system performance. You will use engagement-level models and simulations to assess the effectiveness and optimal employment of both legacy and innovative U.S. strike missiles in 1-v-1 or 1-v-few scenarios. Additionally, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to use, develop and improve missile modeling capabilities.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or another engineering field
  • Experience analyzing driving factors behind missile system performance or working with aerospace systems
  • Strong programming skills with languages such as MATLAB, Python or C++

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
