Job Summary

The Center Director - Program Management is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Job Corps Center, ensuring compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) regulations and Company policies. This role requires a strong leader who can manage and direct staff, analyze data, and make informed decisions to drive Center performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the Job Corps Center and all related activities, ensuring a well-maintained, attractive, and safe environment for students.
  • Ensure Center meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance goals, following all integrity guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for the daily management, supervision, and direction of the Job Corps Center and all related activities.
  • Adhere to all DOL/Company-approved Human Resources policies, ensuring a nondiscriminatory work environment with equal opportunity and treatment.
  • Effectively motivate, empower, and require staff to perform their job responsibilities, employing sound time-management and delegation skills.
  • Provide required/supplemental training for new and current employees, motivating and managing staff to work effectively.
  • Develop Center-beneficial linkages within the community for education, employment, Career Technical Training, and Work-Based Learning, promoting a positive image of the Center and Job Corps.
  • Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
  • Provide high-quality supervision and management for the student population, taking swift and appropriate action and positively influencing student behavior.
  • Provide quality programs and services for students, ensuring that quality is maintained and student needs are met.
  • Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner, contributing meaningfully to group efforts.
  • Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identifying problems, analyzing causes, and evaluating appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school, with a Master's degree from an accredited school preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in program management and direction, with a substantial experience working with youth, is required. Department of Labor approval is also required.
