Position Summary
The Claims Recovery (Project) Assistant role is integral to the Antitrust Practice Group, where individuals will provide essential support to paralegals and attorneys within the Claims Recovery team. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and skill enhancement through hands-on experience. A minimum billing requirement of 1600 hours annually is expected from Claims Recovery (Project) Assistants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research using publicly accessible resources (including company websites and financial documents) to compile, summarize, and present findings.
- Assist in the development, organization, and upkeep of claims information and status reports for various ongoing cases.
- Review matter documents for inconsistencies, resolving issues through established procedures or escalating incomplete documents to the supervising paralegal or attorney.
- Oversee workflow for specific matters as assigned.
- Draft, revise, and proofread correspondence, memos, and reports.
- Provide data entry assistance on litigation databases and Excel spreadsheets.
- Support quality assurance of team outputs, including reviewing assignments completed by colleagues.
- Prepare and maintain databases and spreadsheets for tracking purposes.
- Assist the team with data collection and analysis as needed.
- Contribute to team objectives by delivering accurate results in a timely manner.
- Support additional assignments as directed by case teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with personnel at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and complex environment to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to convey information with professionalism and courtesy, while effectively following instructions from a diverse range of clients, attorneys, and staff.
- Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in spelling and grammar.
- Capability to deliver quality client service to both internal and external stakeholders regarding routine non-legal matters.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a positive and cooperative manner to fulfill job responsibilities and contribute to team efforts.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite to create high-quality written communications, including memos, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Moderate typing proficiency.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position.
Experience
One year of relevant legal or administrative experience is required, during which the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role were acquired and demonstrated.

The firm is dedicated to equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $52,000 - $55,000 per year, with additional compensation potentially including a discretionary bonus. Salary may vary based on location, market data, candidate qualifications, and other relevant factors.
