  • Enter abstracted medical data, including diagnoses, prognoses, and treatment information, into electronic health records.
  • Prepare medical charts for review and analysis.
  • Scan health records into the electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Greet patients in a friendly and timely manner, providing a positive first impression.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment, referring complex issues to medical assistants or physicians as needed.
  • Schedule patients with the appropriate physician or healthcare provider.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the office.

Requirements:

  • Clinical background experience with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding.
  • 6-12 months of previous medical office experience, preferably in a clinical or administrative role.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities are essential for success in this position.
