The Building Engineering Division specializes in a wide range of engineering services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Our team is adept at handling feasibility studies, project design, and construction management across various sectors.

The successful candidate will collaborate with clients to deliver effective plumbing and fire protection designs, conduct studies, and provide technical support to meet project specifications. This position entails fieldwork, design tasks, and construction oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee plumbing and fire protection engineering teams to create concepts, strategies, construction documents, and engineering reports for new and renovated structures.
  • Provide mechanical leadership on large-scale, multi-disciplinary design projects, including plumbing systems and fire protection solutions.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews for plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • Design plumbing and fire protection systems for various sectors, including corrections, higher education, laboratories, and healthcare.
  • Perform fire protection hydraulic calculations using industry-standard software.
  • Engage directly with clients to analyze design options, perform cost-benefit assessments, and communicate findings to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Lead project teams to achieve project objectives while ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage financial performance and scheduling of mechanical projects.
  • Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals to initiate new projects.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional A/E services firm is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A New York Professional Engineer's License is preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. The specific salary offered may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
