Job Title: Program Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Instructor to join our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago. As a Program Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing programs, supervising club members, and evaluating activities and outcomes within a specific program area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Youth for Success: Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes. Promote and stimulate daily learning as well as participation in designated national and special event programs.
  • Program Implementation: Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs, services, and activities for members. Develop and post weekly and monthly program plans.
  • Supervision: Maintain order and discipline of Club members. Supervise and train volunteers and program assistants.
  • Facility Management: Ensure program area is attractive, neat, and clean. Make and/or recommend needed repairs to facility and/or equipment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • One to Two years' Youth Development experience.
  • Excellent communication/inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems.
  • Ability to interact with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality learning programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
Environmental Conditions:
  • Must pass criminal background check.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
