Data Center Operations Specialist

As a Data Center Operations Specialist at TEKsystems, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the integrity of our data center infrastructure, including cabling, racking, and asset management. You will also be responsible for supporting logistics and troubleshooting issues related to data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns of data center equipment according to specific instructions and safety protocols.
  • Performs post-execution quality checks to verify that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues related to data center operations, quickly identifying the cause(s) of problems and replacing faulty components as needed.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
