About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at Residential One LLC. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of our properties, including performing repairs, conducting routine inspections, and assisting with various tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of physical property, including repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Performing light electrical and plumbing work, such as fixture replacement and pipe clearing
  • Repairing and replacing broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, fixtures, appliances, and other materials
  • Painting interior and exterior walls, removing wallpaper, and repairing drywall
  • Carpentry work, including door fitting, window repair, shelf installation, and floor sanding
  • Assisting with custodial work in common areas, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
  • Grounds work, including yard maintenance, snow removal, and ice melting
  • Repairing concrete, masonry, roofs, fencing, and other structures as needed
  • Training and assisting other employees on property needs and procedures
  • Managing inventory and tools, and utilizing maintenance materials effectively
  • Scheduling apartment inspections and refurbishing apartments prior to resident occupancy
  • Keeping accurate records on preventative maintenance, work orders, and inventories
  • Performing scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations
  • Inspecting units, buildings, and common areas, and performing repairs and janitorial assistance as required
  • Responding to emergency calls, including no electricity, main line backups, clogged toilets, leaks, fires, and other life-threatening situations
  • Servicing requests, including boiler repair, range and hood fan repairs, refrigerator/freezer repairs, and other tasks

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience with multi-family housing or a related field
  • Familiarity with contract work hours, Safety Standards Acts, OSHA, Department of Labor and Licensing, and applicable federal and state safety standards
