Job Summary

Wellmore Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Child Outpatient Therapist to join our team. As a Clinician Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing direct services to children, adolescents, and their families, including evaluation, assessment, home-based services, outreach, case management, individual and family therapies, crisis intervention, and record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and treatment of children, adolescents, and families.
  • Implement treatment plans that may include psychotherapy and clinically required support services, such as translation, transportation, advocacy, and linkage to other needed services.
  • Provide community-based outreach and treatment services as defined by the treatment plan and/or client need, in various settings, including agency offices, client homes, schools, emergency rooms, shelters, and police stations.
  • Maintain confidential and/or required program documents.
  • Meet productivity standards as determined by the CEO and assigned by the program supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of a team with other professionals and concerned parties involved in cases.
  • Assist in the organization, marketing, planning, and implementation of the program.
  • Participate in trainings and staff meetings.
  • Serve on agency and/or community committees.
  • Participate in supervision and report directly to the supervisor.
  • Supervise assigned staff and/or student interns.
Requirements
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality of both agency and client matters.
  • Display clinical knowledge and expertise necessary to perform crisis intervention.
  • Display knowledge and expertise in clinical theory and practice as it relates to the populations served by Wellmore Behavioral Health.
  • Be capable of working as a part of a team and effectively communicate with both families and professionals.
  • Have a working knowledge of the greater Waterbury area.
  • Be able to read, write, translate, and interpret Spanish.
Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in marriage and family therapy, social work, or a related human services field with at least a one-year clinical internship working with children and/or adolescents or families.
  • A Connecticut license as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Doctorate Psychologist is preferred.
  • Two years of post-graduate clinical experience working with children, adolescents, or families is preferred.
  • Experience in family therapies and family systems theory and practice is preferred.
