About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Care Specialist to join our team at Positive Development for Youth & Families. As a Developmental Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support to children and young adults with autism, helping them to develop essential life skills and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to clients in their homes, using our evidence-based developmental approach to care.
  • Work closely with our Clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Communicate effectively with clients' families, providing regular updates and support to ensure a seamless care experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in developmental care.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, working together to achieve exceptional outcomes for our clients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., special education, child development) preferred.
  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license or state ID.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, regularly get up and down from the floor, and actively engage with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to working with clients and families.
  • Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, with a minimum of 6-10 hours per week.
